What Is PE Shrink Wrap?
PE shrink film is made from high-quality polyethylene through a blown film extrusion process. Its toughness and high shrinkage are primarily used for packaging large and heavy items. Upon heating, PE shrink film shrinks evenly and adheres closely to the surface of the product. The film forms a stable shell that effectively protects the product and significantly reduces the likelihood of puncture, tearing, or shifting. Working Principle
PE shrink film is produced from polyethylene and given a pre-stretched orientation during the blown-film process. When the film is placed around a product and then exposed to controlled heat—typically in a shrink tunnel or by a hot-air gun—the oriented polymer chains relax and the film contracts in both the machine and transverse directions. This heat-induced, biaxial shrinkage causes the film to conform tidy to product contours, producing a uniform, wrinkle-free wrap that stabilizes loads and protects items from dust, abrasion, and minor impacts during handling and transport. Different PE grades can be formulated for higher shrink force or for lower-temperature shrinking to suit heat-sensitive goods, and the film is compatible with manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated shrink systems.

Material Composition and Performance:
POF is a copolymer of ethylene (E) with one or more other olefins, resulting in excellent clarity, high gloss, and good puncture resistance. It also shrinks evenly in all directions, unlike PE films (which can only shrink one way at a time), making it suitable for delicate or complex shapes.
PE is a single polymer of polyethylene, usually made in either low-density (LDPE) or linear low-density (LLDPE) grades. PE films are thicker and stronger, giving heavy-duty protection; whereas they have higher tear resistance than POF products, which also store well when used as blanket wrapping on big loads of paper pulp or other bulk commodities (for example, building materials).
